Those are his words. --------------------------------------------------- Dear Dan, You will be happy to know that starting February 1, FSRN will establish a Houston Bureau with regular reports in the newscast. The newscast will be staffed initially by Monica Lopez who is moving from San Francisco to set things up (if its alright I will put you in touch). Then, a month later, Joe Gardner Wesselly will come to Houston from Alburquque, NM. Both are amazing reporters. It is a real scandal the Houston has not been better served by national news in the past. But that is about to change! (at least with regard to FSRN). Best, Aaron Glantz ---------------------------------------------------- I am one of the largest supporters of FSRN and spent hundreds of hours this spring calling affiliates to get their daily show on the air across the country. What Aaron Glantz did without ANY CONSULTATION whatsoever with the exception of Hep Ingham was manipulative, underhanded and a complete violation of any principal of local control for KPFT. Hep should be apologizing to all of us for participating in this power-grab by Aaron Glantz. Local news at KPFT needs to be local. I am thrilled that FSRN folks wants to come down and help. But KPFT will not become the great station it can be if it starts out with its news controlled by Aaron Glantz in Berkeley. -------------------------- Message 501 of 1767
